This 60-minute class is designed specifically to focus on strength and conditioning for pregnant and postpartum moms, all while in the company of other moms!! Meeting the physical demands of motherhood requires loading and strengthening, and it is an essential part of a well-rounded exercise plan. Strengthening with weights is shown to improve health during pregnancy and postpartum and sets us up for better health in the years following the pregnancy/postpartum period. This class is led by Danielle, a Doctor of Physical Therapy, board-certified in pelvic rehabilitation, and certified in pregnancy and postpartum exercise.

Danielle graduated from the University of Rhode Island with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2018, and has been treating clients of all genders with pelvic health conditions ever since! She is certified in dry needling and is a certified pelvic rehabilitation practitioner through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

She currently enjoys the roles of Faculty and Lead Teaching Assistant for the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, where she facilitates weekend-long continuing education courses for practitioners as they advance towards their specialization. She is also the instructor for the University of Rhode Island Doctor of Physical Therapy program’s Topics in Gender Studies course since 2023. She has clinical research interests in pelvic pain conditions including the role of peri-operative rehabilitation for individuals with endometriosis, as well as establishing guidelines for Doctor of Physical Therapy students entering clinical rotations in pelvic rehabilitation.

When Danielle is not working with clients, running her practice, or teaching, you can find her hiking and spending time outside, going to a yoga class, or traveling to new destinations!
